Industrial Sensor Interface (AMETEK)

Developed a web and standalone user interface for AMETEK sensor which serves real-time graphs of industrial plant parameters like temperature, humidity, pressure etc. broadcasted over fixed ports by the micro-controller and fetched by the interface using XML–RPC (Remote Procedure Calls) Commands also control actions initiated from the interface to the micro-controller in the plant. The micro-controller flashed with an EMBEDDED C program that responds to RPC commands. The application user interface built using ColdFusion 8 and Flash AS2.0 frontends.

ROLE: Programmer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop initial version of product based on Design documents & customer requirements.
  • Install and maintain product development environment. 
  • Develop technical designs and unit test cases. 
  • Demonstrate program functionality to Quality Assurance engineers, product analysts and technical writers. 
ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 
  • Developed the application within 500K size constrain of the microchip thus avoiding the mass scale production of installation CDs along with the product.
